Regret was a curse without a cure, except to forget.
Keeping the story simple and focusing on the characters is having some nice payoffs. Each story has been consistently enjoyable and as we are now three books in to the series characters are changing and layers of their story are being explored. I felt some of the reveals in Riyria Revelations #2 may have been a bit obvious but I found nothing in the third instalment to be predictable or underwhelming.
I captured Sullivan's afterword as well too because it really highlights why this book feels basic compared to other ones but it's an obvious decision and focusing on what matters allows the story to be short, to the point, and above all, an excellent read.
