Before i fall

Eine tiefsinnige, zum Nachdenken anregende Geschichte a la "Täglich grüßt das Murmeltier". Die Geschichte beginnt recht lasch und ich hab die ersten 150 Seiten den Hype um das Buch nicht verstanden. Doch im Nachhinein sehe ich die Entwicklung der Figur, die Moral der Geschichte. Und ich liebe dieses Buch! Es ist klasse. Ich kann es total weiter empfehlen! Nur sollte man zum Ende hin unbedingt ein, zwei Taschentücher bereit halten.

This book gave me flashbacks from the movie Heathers and all the "mean girls" I've known. I've often wondered "if I had known then what I know now..." This book explores that a bit.

Here's a quote from the book p 425-426 that is something to think about.

"you just don't know how and why the threads are looped together, and
that's okay. Do a good thing and something bad happens. Do a bad thing and something good happens. Do nothing and everything explodes.

And very rarely... you get to the chance to do the right thing."

For Sam, that chance was a long time coming. It also made me think about the people who believe being mean is an act of survival. This book proves that's not always the case.
