Review of 'Food Fix: How to Save Our Health, Our Economy, Our Communities, and Our Planet-One Bite at a Time' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
Books on nutrition and the environmental impact of agriculture have got to be some of the hardest to rate—mainly because each one tells me different things in a very convincing way. I didn't find all of Hyman's claims about meat vs vegetarianism very thorough or convincing, but if you were going to read one book on the food industry, this might be the most comprehensive. I learned a lot, and he provides actual steps for individuals to take in many areas (voting with your dollar, your vote, etc). Nutrition, policy, culture, lobbying, regulation, nutritional science, healthcare, diets, and the environment are all covered.
