Review of 'Becoming attached' on 'GoodReads'

This was highly recommended by Aaron Swartz. I was curious mostly about if I could trust his reviews or not. The book itself is amazingly comprehensive, with multiple views casting light on an ambiguous and ambitious subject. After the dusts settles it is undisputed that infants need compassionate incessant attention from their mother. However I don't think the evidence provided in the book is sufficient to draw any conclusions about lasting effects later in life. The sample sizes for the studies are too small and there are just too many variables.

On a side note, I wonder if the breakdown of conjugal family has resulted in the increase of divorce and autism.
