The Soul of Money

I hoped I'd learn more about my relationship with money. This book is not that, although the subtitle promises it. It contains too many positive anecdotes and too few exercises. It feels salesy, like the author is trying to fundraise from me. Definitely not worth buying.

It's a collection of interesting stories from the author's life around attitudes and perspectives around money, and how our culture has been focused on scarcity and not sufficiency. I'd recommend it to anyone who has been thinking about the significance of money in their life, or struggling with these issues.

It's a little simplistic at times, but I do think the book is worth a read for progressive folks interested in economic issues. And there are some nice messages about collaboration, and about agency. It's a good read.
