As a person who enjoys both historical fiction and speculative history/ science, I have to say this novel was a nearly complete bust. Both the historical framework (Nazi Germany) and the science (time travel) presented are, at best, poorly articulated and dubious in terms of accuracy. The German language snippets employed in the book were straight from Bing or Google translate (inappropriate, as well as being awkward grammatically and linguistically). The ethical framework upon which the story is built (dynamic tension between the evil & good guys) exhibits a remarkable set of double standards. I could go on; but, I won't. Don't waste your time with this novel (or series).
