Dr. Futurity is a 1960 science fiction novel by American writer Philip K. Dick. It is an expansion of his earlier short story "Time Pawn", which first saw publication in the summer 1954 issue of Thrilling Wonder Stories. Review of 'Dr. Futurity' on 'Goodreads'

Dr. Futurity is about the doctor Jim Parsons, who is transported in time into a future dominated by a very different perspective on aging, illness and death.

As most stories about time-travelling, certain familiar tropes of the genre does appear, but I would say it's a decent book. Given it's short length, it's an enjoyable book to read on a day off. Still, I'd say it's a decent book without neccesarily qualifying as great.

For fans of PKD, read it. For new readers, read his classic works first, better use of your time.

This book inspired me to write a song. It goes a little like this:

Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
Put 'em together and what have you got
A far more coherent statement than this book
Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo
Not even magic can salvage this work
