Better than the first, I thought. The delving into the djinn's lives was fascinating. I won't be picking up the rest, though.

This book ought to have been more interesting than the first book, since it represents a major upset in the protagonist's life, however, I actually found it less interesting, since her rather bland beloved, David, was there to guide her through the whole thing.
