Review of 'The Forest of Hands and Teeth' on 'Goodreads'

I love zombies, and this does not disappoint the reader hungry for the flesh of the Unconsecrated. The ideas and plot were good and adventure abounded. Mary, the main character, is likable for her independence and willful dreaminess. Though I found the emotions a little hard to bear. She is always crying and sobbing and heaving. Of course, her entire world is slowly crumbling under the weight of the undead, but I really wish she would pick up more weapons, stockpile more supplies, be a little more forward-thinking and bitchy. But hey, I read this while in recovery from food poisoning and might just be a little grumpy.
In any event, this is a book you could pick up for its compelling title, and read all night, and be ready to read more.
