A Puritan woman goes missing deep in the woods of colonial New England, and soon must face the supernatural horrors that her people had only imagined up until then.
This was far stranger and more twisted than I was expecting, which is extremely my jam.
I can get down with pretty much any story that has to do with witches, I enjoy fiction that's really "out there" from time to time, and this story was an excellent marriage of the two. I found myself reading and re-reading paragraphs, not because I was lost but because there's so much depth to Hunt's writing that I didn't want to miss a detail. I judged this book by its cover, and that turned out to be a good call (but you didn't hear it from me).
