Down Comes the Night

it is my personal belief that one queer person in a heterosexual relationship makes it like drugs for my gay, gay, brain.

I call this the Grishaverse effect™️

Not quite what I was expecting going in, and maybe a few too many things going on to really nail all the elements (one character turn in particular seems exceedingly abrupt, likely needed because the plot needed to move along), but there's some really beautiful writing, particularly in the last third of the book.

Already picked up Saft's next work.
