Girl Made of Stars

Ohhhhh man, was this book that took my breath away/ was also a breath of fresh air in its own right? In simpler terms, it was great. And important. And honest. And complicated. There's so much that Blake weaves into a single book: family relationships, friendships, sibling relationships, romantic relationships, working through sexual and gender identities, crushes, middle school/ high school, and how sexual assault & rape affects each and every one of those things. I hope that story resonates with, consoles, and inspires survivors and allies.
