meeg reviewed Deadly class by Rick Remender
Review of 'Deadly class' on 'Goodreads'
5 stars
Hands down, my favorite volume of the series. I'm perpetually impressed with Remender's storytelling; I've never read anything quite like this series before. In my opinion, this volume was by far the most emotional: we see more into the (remaining) character's minds after the nightmare that was Freshman Finals in volume 4. (Am I still reeling from Volume 4? Yes and probably always).
And Remender ties up a few loose ends from characters who disappeared in previous volumes, which came as a huge surprise to me. I'm so excited to see where Volume 6 takes us, and fingers crossed we finally get Saya's backstory!
Also, any graphic novel that dedicates a few full pages to an epic Dungeons & Dragons quest is clearly going to get a 5 star review from me.
