Huh. I don't think I fully understood this book. It seems to be about cycles and abuse, but also maybe mental health? And how, no matter how hard we try we seem to follow in our parents' footsteps? Idk man, but it was pretty?
This was far stranger and more twisted than I was expecting, which is extremely my jam.
I can get down with pretty much any story that has to do with witches, I enjoy fiction that's really "out there" from time to time, and this story was an excellent marriage of the two. I found myself reading and re-reading paragraphs, not because I was lost but because there's so much depth to Hunt's writing that I didn't want to miss a detail. I judged this book by its cover, and that turned out to be a good call (but you didn't hear it from me).
