Some of the jokes and callbacks are funny, but the book is just meandering mush.
It doesn't work as a how-to for women (not even a tongue-in-cheek one), it doesn't work as a stealth guide for men, and the writer's personal experiences somehow are not unusual/entertaining OR relatable.*
*they are possibly relatable, if you happen to be a hetero TV writer whose social life was entirely in the Manhattan and Brooklyn comedy circuit of the 2010s
