This book rekindled my inner need to tidy up. I loved the author's approach to the decluttering process because she discusses the reasons why organization is so important and can brings profound changes in our lives. The very concept of "keep what sparks joys" may seem simple or even silly but it is very powerful once you learn what it means to you and what this feeling look like.
I think there are many references and influences of the japanese culture that makes the book very interesting and gave me a whole new vision of the objects I own and what is their purpose. The simple method of folding clothes is something that at first I thought was just an unimportant detail, but after I applied the method I could see the changes in my wardrobe organization and how I now assess my clothes.
