Asylum is a 1996 gothic fiction novel by British author Patrick McGrath. The novel is the chronicle of a story about self-obsession narrated by the point of view of a psychiatrist. It was adapted into a 2005 film directed by David Mackenzie.

Non mi è piaciuto. Non mi ha tenuta incollata alle pagine. Finito in poco tempo perché volevo togliermelo dalle scatole e avendo meno di 250 pagine, secondo la mia edizione, l'ho letto velocemente. Noioso, ecco come l'ho trovato. La cosa bella del libro? La copertina con un'opera di Egon Schiele.
