Pentapod reviewed The Cinderella Deal by Jennifer Crusie
Review of 'The Cinderella Deal' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
I mean, it's not Jane Austen, but for its genre it's Jennifer Crusie's typical light, enjoyable, easy reading romance with likeable characters that have just enough depth to grow on you. In this case Daisy (former teacher, aspiring artist, deep in debt) agrees to pretend to be the fiancee of her downstairs neighbour who is applying for a faculty job at a university and discovers that being married is expected. They attend the interview as fiance and fiancee, he gets the job, supposedly that's the end of it... except of course it isn't, because this is a romance novel.
Nice light beach reading or something to escape the depressing current news.
