The hints were in plain sight.

I read this book with difficulty. This relationship was in real trouble, from the beginning stalker type move, to what seemed like grooming for domestic violence, this was hard to read. I told myself that this was fantasy, maybe having a beautiful sexy man try to be everything the heroine needs. There was safe sex and then there was not. That was not addressed. When the motivations of the heroine/narrator were revealed, I was floored. It seem to come out of left field, but going through the book again, it was all out there to read. Garrett was gorgeous, and broken. Teagan had her own brokenness, which made her so vulnerable. Most of the creepiness was redeemed when put in context.
