Review of 'The Old is Dying and the New Cannot Be Born' on 'Goodreads'

Because my understanding of neoliberalism developed in a different country under different circumstances (and a very long time ago!), this book really clarified for me the importance in the US of the progressive politics of ‘recognition’ in the construction of neoliberal hegemony. I also felt that her comparison of reactionary populism with progressive populism, in the different way that they combine recognition with distribution, was an important point.
