also found the audiobook for this, still rather liked it.

8/5/21 - listened to it unabridged, still liked it - but at times though like a couple of the others, yeah, unabridged at times felt better, but also b) I have liked over the years when Star Trek authors would bring back some idea, mission or alien to a new story or generation. This one had way too much of that to keep up with or really make it logical (to use someone's phrase).
