The Enterprise is summoned to transport a dangerous criminal from a starbase prison to a rehabilitation center: brilliant physicist Dr. Georges Mordreaux, accused of promising to send people back in time - then killing them instead. But when Mordreaux escapes, bursts onto the bridge and kills Captain Kirk, Spock must journey back in time to avert disaster - before it occurs. Now there's more at stake than just Kirk's life. Mordreaux's experiments have thrown the entire universe into a deadly time warp. Spock is fighting time...and the universe is closing in on itself with the relentless squeeze of… The Entropy Effect.

I liked it - the whole physics/time travel angle is up my alley (though I have no idea if it is remotely possible since I'm not an astrophysicist). But I don't know if it's because it's the abridged audiobook or it's how the actual novel is as well, but it just felt like it was building up to the ending and it just ended, wrapped up and that was it. But still, all in all, pretty good - especially since it was mainly a Spock and McCoy working together story for a good chunk of it - always great to see them together.
