Unexpected. I only read this because somehow Amazon loaded it for free on my Kindle. And yet... what a pleasant surprise! This is a a really well written memoir, along the lines of The Glass Castle, about what it is to grow up as the child of hoarders. I'm always intrigued by smart people who grow up in dysfunctional environments and emerge on the other side able to examine their upbringing instead of simply reacting to it.

Nutshell: I thought I'd read a chapter from this book while passing time in the bathtub and it ended up being a sleeper hit that I kept coming back to. And it's not a cheap-thrill, trainwreck kind of situation. It's a well-written memoir. It happens to be about hoarding, which will resonate with people who have seen it first-hand (and fascinate those who haven't).
