Review of 'The Sunday philosophy club' on 'Goodreads'
2 stars
This was a fine mystery. Isabel Dalhousie though was hard to like. Her philosophical musings are interesting, and she is a smart cookie. But she is so reserved, and such a prude, and I just wanted her to stop repressing herself and wake up from her asceticism. In a pinch, I would read another of these, but I definitely liked the Typing school for men stories better. I did appreciate the setting, and read in Scotland to get a feel, which worked. But I do not think Isabel and I would get along at all, so I just couldn't fall for this book.
