Little Blue Kite

I was hugely invested in Mark Z. Danielewski's earlier books, but by the time Little Blue Kite came out my attention was elsewhere. Coming back to read it today was rewarding, and I enjoyed its core message and most of the execution. There were design choices that I think made it a harder read than it should have been. A bit of extra care would have helped the experience. Regina M. Gonzales' art is a great fit for this story and it's a shame the blending of text and art wasn't sharper. There's a great book hidden away by the design missteps.
