Review of 'Every Breath' on 'Goodreads'

I don't think that I can see the big deal about Nicholas Sparks as an author. I found this book to be absolutely boring. I also thought there was no character development in the book. Neither of the main characters were at all likeable, and whenever they got together it was like they would talk about their really shitty lives then have sex.
The other really unrealistic part of the book was the fact that both True and Hope fell in love after just over a day. Sure, Love at First Sight does happen, but I just didn't feel it with these two characters. None of them had any substance, and I think all they wanted from each other was for the other to feel bad for them.
It's funny that Sparks says he's not a romance author because he is exactly one of those. Sure, his books are very …
