There are so many game-world-isekai stories out there that the genre feels tapped out most of the time, but Leadale feels a bit different. 200 years after Cayna played the game, the world of Leadale is only vaguely familiar to her. Her vast array of skills have been lost to time, the warring kingdoms have consolidated and found peace, and there are no "players" left in the world other than herself.
While Cayna is grotesquely overpowered, she struggles to understand how much things have regressed and often makes a scene with absurd acts. She has no real understanding of how to live in this world after things changed so much, failing to understand the value of her money or potions or skills.
It's far from a masterpiece, but this is probably one of my favourite takes on the genre. The main problem is that it could have used another pass …

It's far from a masterpiece, but this is probably one of my favourite takes on the genre. The main problem is that it could have used another pass at editing both before and after translation; there are a few scenes that seem broken somehow, and there are numerous typos throughout. But if you can get past that this is a surprisingly solid read.
