A fascinating book, though marred by the absence of any analysis of Africa outside of Egypt outside of a casual "boy, they screwed that up too" in the conclusion. Really should be read on Kindle so that you can constantly check Wikipedia for the many, many details inevitably left out of a book of this scope.
