Very good plot. Two people on the run cross paths one the hired assassin helps the other a young girl whose parents were murdered. It is the first in this series. Ok

There are people who like this kind of book. It’s like a Jack Reacher novel. A bigger than life comic book hero undergoes virtually no real or meaningful character change from the opening scene to the last, but a lot of bullets fly and a lot of stuff blows up. If that’s your thing, maybe you’ll like it. Two stars because it isn’t a truly horrible story.

Another detective novel about a failed attempt to murder the US president with the main villain coming from the Middle East. Would be rather banal if not one thing - the bad guys actually have valid complaints about the US government. Makes things a bit more nuanced. And then Julie, the fourteen years old girl whom the villains attempt to kill is lovely.
