What an intriguing and involving story! And there are so many surprises (particularly near the end) that it keeps one engaged throughout. And, of course, the danger of radium isn't mentioned, because it's really not recognize at that point in time, but it's effects certainly are!
The reader falls in love with all of the characters and strongly doubts that there could be an acceptable perpetrator, and when one is secured, said reader is left shaking his/her head. I probably ought to explore the other books by this author, but I'm not sure I'm up to it at this moment – anyway, I have so many others that I need to read/listen to first…
