A great genre bending tale of ambition, betrayal and revenge, set in a fascinating post apocalyptic city state with a rigid class hierarchy, built on the backs of genetic hybrids. Somehow it manners to feel like it has something to say about everything, while telling a clear crime story with all of the twists you'd expect.
