a very extensive and well written biography. i learned a lot about marriage dynamics of the 1920s. this wild, young, beautiful couple for the first 5-10 years of marriage suffered to such an extent during the last 15 years that it makes one wonder if they should have ever met. the biographer tries hard to show Zelda as highly talented as Scott. Her continual sublimation and lack of compassion from her husband, epecially his alcoholism, contributed greatly to her unhappiness. Unhappiness to such a degree that mental institutions began a decade of harmful pharmacological procedures until her untimely death in 1948.
