Slower than the first, but enjoyed their time in WWII era London. It was really interesting to follow Jacob through that.
Hollow City is a 2014 dark fantasy novel and a sequel to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children written by Ransom Riggs. It was released on January 14, 2014 by Quirk Books. The novel is set right after the first, and sees Jacob and his friends fleeing from Miss Peregrine's to the "peculiar capital of the world", London.

Unfortunately, it continued from where book 1 left off. While I found the beginning of the first book very interesting, the rest of the series thus far is more juvenile. Just a group of weird characters trying to escape, with one thing after another happening that they overcome. Nothing subtle. I gave up about 1/3 the way through.
This is the sequel to "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children". My review of that book applies somewhat here, too. It is still a good tale with a rather unique storyline. The story doesn't end here, so now I must wait impatiently for the author to continue the adventures in a third book. A lot of threads are started here and I had a suspicion that this book would not end Jacob's amazing adventure with other peculiar children and time loops and hollowgasts and wights. I really have nothing to add to the Amazon descriptions. I downloaded this the moment I finished the first book and listened at 1.25 speed - the audio equivalent of a page turner. :)
