Excellent start to the One Punch Man story, and a great introduction to Saitama, Genos, and a young Mumen Rider.

I wish it delved more into the mental health aspects of OPM, but I hope I will see Saitama deal with his depression and despair of being completely invulnerable in the coming issues.

It's not your typical superhero manga

The protagonist hero of One Punch Man, Saitama, is so powerful that he can defeat any enemy with a single blow. No exceptions. In contrast to Saitama’s austere, even unprotected, aspect, there are those who seek its destruction; enemies that are threatening and showy. It doesn’t matter how much they boast, or how many speeches he gives, he always wins with parsimony and with a single punch. He is therefore making new enemies, also admirers, but before everything that happens, he is bored.

There is one thing very noticeable about One-punch man: there are no lengthy backstories or complicated plots. The manga starts you off with outrageously bombastic fight scenes almost from beginning to end. Pure martial fun without snide dialogues or corny lines. The comic style of the manga makes it a joy to read and the characters, while cliché, are likeable and fun to watch. The story moves …
