Simple advice that found me at the right time

I reread this book in 2023. I wasn't prepared for it the first time around, but this time, the message of "get out of your body's way" and "show your body that you trust it" got through. This has made me feel much better about how to learn the various skills of, in my case, bowling.

Review of 'The inner game of tennis' on 'Goodreads'

3 stars

The author divides your self in two. A self that reasons and (over)thinks. And a self that just does. The inner game is to let that second self do its thing, and letting the first self get out of the way. Useful in tennis and likely in other physical activities (like making music).

It made me think of Yoda (do, or do not - there is no try).

It's a small book and I think I'll need to read it again.
