Relevant Fantasy Book, unfortunately

Don't get me wrong, I love this book. But it is a long book, and it is about a kingdom recovering from abuse, and the abuse still perpetuated. It's painful and if you can't see unplanned allusions to post-45 written by someone over 5 years ago, I don't know what to tell you. I'm not saying read it when your day is going perfectly, but do not read it right now if you're depressed.
Anyway, still got Fire to read, and eventually Winterkeep.
