What I have learned is, if it takes me more than a week to read a book, I probably don't like it. There has to be pretty big extenuating circumstances for me to take a month to read a book if I actually like it.

This book came out in 2008. It will feel relevant for at least 2 more days, despite the technology discussion being unnecessary and even a bit dated.

This is a good book to have on high school reading lists. That's why it gets 4-stars.

I was surprised how annoyed by this book I was. I loved "Makers" by the same author, I expected better from this book.

It felt like an educational propoganda book with just enough plot to make me want to finish it. I felt kind of dirty reading it and I don't entirely understand why.

Maybe because it is propaganda for beliefs which I partly share, but only up to a point. Maybe the other way around - I share them fully, but don't act the part.

In any case, I wish the book had been less full of judgements of its own and more allowing of me to make my own.
