Review of 'The Clockwork Scarab (Stoker & Holmes, #1)' on 'Goodreads'

This is the first steampunk novel I have read and I found the whole steampunk idea very interesting, everything being steam powered and electricity being outlawed was pretty funny.
I didn't like the two main characters too much though, Miss Stoker and Miss Holmes spent too much time disliking each other and blushing in front of men, the constant complaining about being female felt a bit tedious at time.
The case itself was quite interesting and you spend your time trying to guess what is going on, in the end I felt not enough questions had been answered, I know this is going to be a series but I just wish things weren't dragged out as much as they have been.
Not sure if I will read the second book, maybe one day but right now it doesn't appeal to me.
