Sisters of the Forsaken Stars

Very much in the same vein as the first one, but it doesn't quite have the same punch now that the setting has already been introduced and explored

I loved the first book and was excited to dive into the follow up as I loved the setting with the living ships and weird nuns. Only this book was sloooooooowwwwwww, nothing really happened besides all these nuns where complaining about what to do with their lives.

Luckily it ended with some space opera shit to make up for it, but geezz, get your act together sisters!

A very solid followup to one of my favorite novellas in recent memory. This very much feels like a middle part, not in that I expect a third (though I wouldn't complain) but in that the physical action takes a back seat to the way characters both think of themselves and relate to each other in the wake of the events of the first story and the repercussions they've had on the world they inhabit.
