As I said it started a little slack. The first ~50 pages seem to be about the christian family life and highschool. And I dislike stories which take place in highschools - it's always so stereotypical...
With coming Daniel in the foreground and things becoming strange this book got me.
I didn't really read much about the plot of the book so I didn't know which kind of creature will show up.
The story plot was great. It has the right mix of criminal, mysterious happings and some romantic scenes.
Until the end I didn't even guess how this book will end.

All in all: Great book - with a lightly shocking but satisfying
end (thankfully no cliffhanger though!).

Book #2 comes in Dec 2010 - Yay!
