Review of 'The bone garden' on 'Goodreads'

4 stars

I was expecting a "Rizzoli and Isles" book, but that's not what it is. It is a historical story of doctors in training a couple of hundred years ago, prejudices, love, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and the trials and perils of trying to study and to get to the truth. I don't know whether any of the story itself is true, but it is gripping! It is definitely a good story and a good picture into what it was like to have to steal bodies in order to study anatomy and hide love of unwanted mates as well as true events in order to preserve supposed honor and dignity!
It wasn't what I was looking for, but was definitely worthwhile!
