Review of 'A killing at Cotton Hill' on 'Goodreads'

Really solid, easy, quick reading mystery. Samuel Craddock is a great character - a retired lawman, living in small town Texas, a recent widower but a surprising art lover and broad thinker. He gets involved in an old friend's murder and, as the ex-police chief, he has some pull. He butts heads with people, but uncovers some long simmering secrets he is surprised to find in his small town.

A fun read and I can't wait to read book 2!
