Disapointment from twleve perspective. Each chapter is told third person but from the perpsective of another character that somehow relates to a innane off-off-off broadway kids show.

Presenting these different perspectives takes skill. Only the Lakshimi chapter didn't go over well with me. She uses coincidence several times to tie all this in and bit of the hand of god to resolve some of the plots. Regarding the play, the actors know there are holes in the plot but no cares or notices, regarding the novel, these devices - coincidence, deus ex machina - don't kill the novel.

Like a play cliche - its a slice a life - a dozen slices.

A lot of people like this. Maybe it's funny. Maybe it's poignant. Perhaps I am an idiot.
