Sunset Park

Loved this (audio-) book, but couldn't pay it the attention it deserved. Will reread some time later - like, on paper. Paul Auster, an author who frequently confuses and outright annoys me - but in a captivating manner. :)

It's been a while since I read fiction. I've been reading The Federalist Papers and a book of essays about the Royal Society. This was a great short book to pick up to slip back into the world of fiction. Auster's characters feel real and he is able to deftly combine poetry and narrative economy.

Not my very favorite of Paul Auster's books (like the City of Glass trilogy or Oracle Night), but really good nonetheless. His average novels are better than some's best.
