So, while I'm waiting until I can get the journey to Rise of Skywalker books to listen to (hopefully before the movie), I wanted something Star Wars, and looked to see what I still had to listen to and figured let me try this one... and as soon as I started it, I discovered all this time, I had a (now Legends version) of what immediately happened after Episode 2. Well, at least the first part of this book is the aftermath of facing Dooku, Anakin recovering from loosing his hand, and we see ObiWan talk to Padme about her feeling for Anakin and for their sakes, she needs to back off - but, oops, as we all know, they got married, and we see their first hours together as husband and wife. I kind of mentally kicked myself for not knowing this because it was interesting and directly comes from the movie. Cool.
But, like I said, that was part one. Then we move a little bit ahead in time when Anakin has Ahsoka as his padawan, and they go to stop Grievous from trying to take over this important planet - but that's not the major event in part two. That goes to an investigation and a major bonding episode between Obi Wan and Bail Organa. They are told of an apparent plot by the sith to destroy the Jedi, that is somehow related to this far away, (in wild space, hence the title) unknown sith planet. Ben doesn't like politicians, Bail respects the jedi but doesn't get them - and the trip, of course, doesn't go very swimmingly. Fun stuff! :)
Over all, this book was a surprise - first of what I said before with what it included, but how well it was. I might have thought at times there was one too many arguments or disagreements between the two, perhaps making a little longer than it needed to be, but forgetting that - it was good!
