Review of 'The Singular & Extraordinary Tale of Mirror & Goliath: From the Peculiar Adventures of John Lovehart, Esq., Volume 1 (Notebooks of John Loveheart, Esq)' on 'Goodreads'
5 stars
This was my second reading, and I realize I didn't remember ANYTHING except for the basics.
So yes, this is a very peculiar tales, both in subject and in it's depiction. This is a very whimsical, cruel, marvellous and full of hope tale, full of violence to the brim but very lovable. And the way it is written makes use of the way you can put the typed letters in a page (as in Dadaism), and also of the placement of it's chapters inside the book to tell the same story with different angles.
All in all, a very different reading experience than most horror books.
