This is religious (christian pushing). Maybe OK for religious practicing Christians that like it pushed in their books.
First religious statement comes when she "prays" for her friend to move back to the neighborhood. Which surprise, she does.
Next comes when they "go to church together". Then as her sister is mean to her, "they read scripture on Sundays" and compare Shannon, the main character to Joseph, from scripture.

"He was Righteous. He Obeyed his parents and God."
"And how about his brothers?"
"They were mean to him."
"So in our family, Shannon would be Joseph."


I feel betrayed as nowhere does it say that it is Christian based or inspirational. It is sprinkled throughout the book. Luckily got it from the library.
