betty reviewed Chill Factor by Rachel Caine

I just went back and reviewed [book:Heat Stroke (Weather Warden, Book 2)] so that I could say:
This book is much more interesting than the previous, probably because David was kept out of the way, forcing Joanne to rely on her own initiative.
One of the interesting things about Joanne, (although a minor point in the books) is her dedication to fashion. Not merely the art of dressing oneself, but the whole shebang in Milan and whatnot. In this book, she gets to use her knowledge of this, at one point, to strike a blow at a villain. I liked that.
Speaking of David, however, he does something in this book that I would find unforgivable, but Joanne seems merely irate. I suppose she is in love with him, and I'm not, but he has a bit of habit of making major decisions for Joanne without consulting her. Ugh.
