I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel to "A Modern Witch". The focus on family togetherness and friendship make it a very comforting book to read. Debora Geary continues the mix of magic and technology that was touched on in the first book. Here it is more fully explored with rather satisfying results. The younger witches' online antics give a whole new angle on the "digital native" phenomenon.
I also enjoyed getting to know Moira better and particularly liked the interaction between her grumpy nephew Marcus and the younger witches. There seemed to be a touch more sadness in this book, with various characters grappling with troubling events from their past. And don't read this book if you are broody, unless you are ready for some serious consequences! Lots of cute toddler and newly discovered pregnancies here. :)
