Meh....most of this book is about how he tries to defend his sexual urges as not being rape. Interesting subject to say the least, ethics withstanding. Most of us wouldn't go down this path if we had his super powers. Not sure I would call this a literary great book.

I read this in either late middle-school or early high school when I was devouring every book in the library that showed up with I searched for "music" in the old computer system. If you've read this, you are undoubtedly aware this book has nothing to do with music. I remember being extremely perplexed reading this, thinking that the author was maybe, almost, just about to get to the MUSIC part. Suffice it to say he never got there, and I finished the book substantially confused.

Reflecting on the book now, the premise seems extremely offensive to women, and aside from the interesting sci-fi aspect, I'd avoid this one.

Protagonist hard to like, for me, as he's so neckbeard-y, but I enjoyed the inventiveness of the novel and the way the issue of consent is present & addressed, even as it's repeatedly violated.
